Can you use the same cartridges on all cricuts or is there a difference?

I haven’t decided if I want to get a personal or expression. I know one has more options but the older one is cheaper. So what I am wondering is if I can use all cricut cartridges on either one. Thanks!!
Yes, the cartridges ("carts") work on all of the Cricut machines. Even Cricut Cake cartridges work on all of the machines. The bottom line on the choice of machines is the options available (e.g., working with cake fondant; using machine as printer [Imagine]). I have an Expression and have generally only used 12"x12" size but it is nice to know I can make banners if I need/want to.
